Ramsay Pharmacy Group is supporting Clean Up Australia Day to provide a sustainable future for our beautiful country.

What was started thirty years ago, by an "average Australian bloke" who had a simple idea to make a difference in his own backyard has now become the nation's largest community-based environmental event.

But of course, Australia's waste challenges can't be solved in just one day, so over the past three decades, Clean Up Australia has evolved into an organisation that works with community, government and businesses to provide practical solutions to help us all live more sustainably every day of the year.

As Australia’s waste challenges continue to grow, we all need to move towards an economy with more resources, and less waste.

How is Ramsay Pharmacy Group supporting Clean Up Australia Day?

It’s important to stay healthy and sanitised when cleaning to reduce the growth of viruses, fungi and harmful bacteria, and Ramsay Pharmacy is proud to have donated thousands of free hand sanitisers to the supporters of Clean Up Australia Day.

In addition, Ramsay Pharmacy have teams participating in the Clean Up Australia Day event and are helping spread the word to encourage sign ups.

What are we doing to become more sustainable in the future?

Ramsay Pharmacy Group is part of Ramsay Health Care – Australia’s largest private health care provider. As a wider business Ramsay Health Care is working towards a more sustainable future. In fact this year, Ramsay is aiming to replace 50 million single-use plastic items with environmentally-friendly alternatives by December 2022.
