Chronic pain management education and support programs

chronic pain

Chronic pain is a huge problem, affecting 1 in 5 Australians and 1 in 3 over the age of 65. Chronic pain is pain that persists after your body has healed (usually over 3 months). When pain persists this long, pain nerves become overly sensitive and can start to produce pain sensations from even harmless actions like clothes touching your skin or a gentle breeze. Our pharmacists can offer a one-on-one consultation to review your pain medications, offer education on how your medicines work, how to take them to keep pain at a minimum, give you the tools to manage your pain and improve your overall quality of life. You’ll also receive a written action plan to take home and we’ll check in to see how it’s all going – all for free as part of our service to you.
